question What are the business hours?

Our business hours go from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm (last ticket sales and entry at 8 pm),
subject to changes for special opening periods and hours.

question Does the observatory close on certain days?

answer
The observatory basically opens 365 days a year.
Yet, opening hours are subject to changes and there might be temporary closure so be mindful to check the website of Sunshine 60 Observatory before your visit.

question Is the observatory open on rainy days?

answer
Yes, you are welcome to visit on rainy days but the scenery might be unclear.

question How much time do I need to walk through the entire observation deck?

answer
It depends on how you spend your time but it should be around 30 minutes to 1 hour.

question Can I just walk in or do I need a reservation?

answer
You might need to purchase a ticket for specific days in advance or attain a numbered ticket for entry in some periods so be mindful to check the website of Sunshine 60 Observatory before your visit.
Be mindful that opening hours might be subject to changes without advanced notice based on the number of visitors or other factors. Your understanding is appreciated.

question Is re-entry allowed?

Ticket prices are subject to changes for special opening hours in certain periods.Please refer to the details on our “Ticket prices & inclusions”page.

question Are there special rates for senior visitors?

answer
There are no special rates for senior visitors.

question Are there special rates for students/university students?

answer
There are no special rates for students. Elementary school and junior high school pupils shall pay the kid price and high school pupils or above shall pay the adult price.

question At what age do kids need to pay for admission?

answer

Admission fee starts for elementary school pupils. Toddlers under the age of elementary school are free of charge.

(*)However, all kids shall pay a ticket price for group visits. Please refer to the details on our“Ticket prices & inclusions”page.

question Are there special admission options for persons with disabilities?

answer
Yes, we offer a special rate for persons with disabilities. Present the original copy of your Physical Disability Certificate, Mental Disability Certificate, Rehabilitation Certificate (“Ainotecho”, “Midorinotecho” etc.) or specific medical expenses (designated incurable diseases) as well as the HOME page of the “MIRAIRO ID” (smartphone application for disabilities) to enjoy a 50% discount for both the visitor concerned and one companion. As for tickets on specific days, please attain an online numbered ticket before coming to our ticket box on the 60th floor.
Be mindful that tickets for persons with disabilities are not available for sale on our website.

question Can I change the dates of my ticket or cancel my ticket?

Tickets issued at our ticket box on the 60th floor of the observation deck, ticketing machines, Asoview, and convenience stores cannot be changed or canceled. As for other tickets, please contact your ticketing agency directly.

question Are there annual passes available?

answer
No annual passes are available.

question Is there any special admission option that I can enter the aquarium as well?

answer

We sell a discount combo ticket that includes Sunshine Aquarium.

question Can I pay for my online ticket on a specific day by cash?

answer
No, you cannot pay for online tickets by cash. For online purchases, we only accept credit cards, Paidy, and PayPay. You can pay by cash if you buy your ticket at convenience stores.

question Can asoview! be used for free?

answer
asoview! is free.
Charges for accessing and browsing asoview! are paid by customers.

question Can I use a gift certificate when purchasing tickets at the 60F ticket counter?

answer

Yes, you can use the following vouchers/gift cards at the cafe.
Please note that the total amount of vouchers cannot be used for more than the total amount of admission fees.

  • Vouchers issued by Sunshine City (be mindful of the expiry date)
    Sunshine City vouchers, shopping tickets.
  • Gift cards issued by credit card companies (all without expiration date)
    JCB Gift Card, VJA (formerly VISA) Gift Card, MUN Gift Card, UC Gift Card, Diners Royal Cheque.
  • Others
    Toshima Vouchers (with an expiry day), Mitsubishi Estate Group gift cards (no expiry day).

question Can I use my vouchers at Tenbou-Park CAFE?

Yes, you can use the following vouchers/gift cards at the cafe.

  • Vouchers issued by Sunshine City (be mindful of the expiry date, no change)
    Sunshine City vouchers, Alpa gift certificates, Sunshine City Foods & Drinks Coupon, shopping tickets.
  • Gift cards issued by credit card companies (all without expiration date, change unavailable except for JF GOURMET CARD)

question Can I pay by credit card, e-money, or bar code payment?

You can use the following payment methods at our observatory ticket box, ticketing machines, and Tenbou-Park CAFE.

E-money
Transport cards (prepaid cards) such as Suica, ID, and QUICPay.
Bar code payment

  • (*) We have temporarily suspended the use of contactless payments (tap-to-pay) at most of our stores, except for some, due to an issue with our payment terminals. We do not have an estimated timeline for when this service will be resumed.

question I still have the ticket voucher for the former observation deck. Can I use it?

Only the “Sunshine 60 Observatory” ticket voucher can be used.

question I have the annual pass of the former observation deck (the SKY PASS of SKY CIRUS). Is it an admission option?

answer

Our facilities and services

question Are there any smoking areas?

answer
Smoking is prohibited in all areas and there is no smoking space at the observatory. Please visit the smoking areas in Sunshine City if necessary.

question Are there any facilities for babies?

answer
There is a baby room (nursery) with a baby seat (diaper changing table), individual nursery rooms, a water heater, and microwave ovens for baby food.

question Are there any rental strollers?

answer
There is no rental stroller service at the observatory while rental strollers are available at Sunshine City. View Facilities and ServicesOpen in new windowfor more details.

question Can I store my strollers somewhere at the observatory?

answer
Temporary stroller parking areas are available in OBSERVATORY, but you can also bring them with you into the venue.

question Are there any rental wheelchairs?

answer

question Is the facility handicapped assessable?

answer
Yes, it is. The main visit route of the observatory is wheelchair-user-friendly.

question Are there coin lockers?

question Is there any public telephone at the observatory?

question Are there any charging services for electronic devices?

Visitors can use the charging outlets in the cafe area. Sunshine City is also pleased to provide rental power banks for guests.

question Can I bring my pets with me?

answer
No pet is allowed except for hearing dogs, service dogs, and guide dogs.

question Can I carry on my food/beverages?

answer

Consumption of carry-on foods and beverages is limited to specified areas from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on weekdays.
Check herePDFfor information on those areas. Be mindful that some foods (e.g. soups) are prohibited. Check herePDF for more information.
Kindly refrain from bringing in foods and beverages (including meal boxes) except for the above-captioned timeslot. Visit our café for great refreshments!

question Are there any souvenirs for sale at the observatory?

There are no souvenirs for sale at the observatory except for special event periods. Check the Event page on our website for more information.

Picture/Video Shooting

question Can I take pictures at the observatory?

answer
You are welcome to take pictures but please be considerate to other visitors.

question Can I use a tripod to take pictures?

answer
Folding tripods are not prohibited but please be considerate to other visitors.
Please do not occupy any viewing positions for a long time. We reserve the right to ask you to put away your tripods when the observatory is crowded.

question Can I use a selfie stick to take pictures?

answer
Yes, but please be considerate to other visitors.
We reserve the right to ask you to put away your tools when it’s dangerous or it causes a nuisance especially when the observatory is crowded.

question Is it okay to put pictures/ videos on my social media account?

answer
You are welcome to post pictures/videos on social media for personal leisure. Please follow the Sunshine City Social Media Policy- no direct violation/ posts with a link to show violation acts. Our company reserves the right to delete those posts or block those accounts in case of violation. Your understanding is appreciated. At those events, we are not obliged to provide compensation for any damages brought to visitors.

question Can I do social media live at the observatory?

answer
Please refrain from doing any form of social media live in the observatory area. An advanced permit is needed for interviews and shooting for business purposes. Contact us hereif you wish to do so.

question Where is the entrance of the observatory?

answer
Please take the exclusive elevator on the B1 floor of Sunshine 60 Observatory and proceed to the 60th floor.

question Are there any parking lots/ parking discounts for visitors?

answer
There are 1,800 parking spaces on the B2 and B3 floors of Sunshine City.
They are open 24/7. Guests paying a total entrance fee of ¥1,000 and above at the Observatory are eligible for the one-hour complimentary service. Please show your parking ticket at the entrance. Consumption at the café is also included in the above calculation.

question Is there validated parking for bicycles?

question Are there any special rates for group visits?

Yes, we are pleased to offer group visit rates for groups with more than 20 visitors.
